IJDBP is a specialty journal in Developmental and Behavioral paediatrics published by Indian Academy of Paediatrics Chapter of Neurodevelopmental Paediatrics

The Journal welcomes Original papers, Review articles, Case reports and other articles relevant to child development & Behaviour including:

• Neurodevelopmental disorders, Developmental delays, Behavioral issues,
• Autism, Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, Learning difficulties,
• Intellectual disabilities, Evidence based role of early intervention,
• Family centred multidisciplinary intervention,
• Neurogenetic disorders affecting child development,
• Neuroimaging & Neurological issues affecting child development,
• Corrective and assistive surgeries, Medical conditions affecting child development,
• Home environmental and environmental issues affecting child development,
• Low birth weight and High-risk neonate requiring neonatal intensive care & its outcome,
• Preventive aspects in adolescents and pregnancy.
• Management of conditions covered in Rights of Persons with Disability Act,2016 of GOI.

The journal upholds the highest ethical and publication standards and employs a robust plagiarism detection system for all submissions. We only consider manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under consideration elsewhere.

Editorial and Peer Review Process

Initial Editorial Screening: For every volume, an invited Guest Editor, alongside the Editor-in-Chief and three Co-Editors (who serve as Co-Editors for that volume), conducts the first screen. This stage assesses the suitability of the topic, its relevance to the journal's scope, and adherence to basic ethical guidelines. Manuscripts promoting unverified or promotional therapies, or those with undisclosed or inappropriate funding, are screened out at this stage.

Epidemiological Review: Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening proceed to a second screen by an Epidemiologist, who reviews the methodology and statistical rigor.

Double-Blind Peer Review:Finally, accepted manuscripts are sent to two anonymous expert reviewers. These reviewers are eminent experts, typically from prestigious teaching institutes across the country, who provide a comprehensive assessment of the manuscript's scientific merit, originality, and clarity.

Plagiarism Detection:For all manuscripts submitted, the journal employs a robust plagiarism detection system to ensure originality and identify any instances of previously published work.

Decision and Revisions:Based on the recommendations of the reviewers and the internal screening process, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision regarding acceptance, rejection, or requiring revisions.

Peer Review Policy: The journal will be Double Blind Peer review Open access journal published Quarterly. We will accept for publication manuscripts that were not published earlier in any form. The journal is devoted to publishing quality papers based on original innovative and most advance research in the field of developmental Behavioral paediatrics.

Anti-Plagiarism Policy: All manuscripts submitted to the Indian Journal of Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics are screened for plagiarism as part of the initial editorial assessment, prior to peer review. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism, redundant publication, or unethical content are rejected in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics.

Publication Ethics: The journal follows ethical standards in scholarly publishing and takes appropriate action in cases of plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, or other forms of publication misconduct.
